What is the Webcam-Network Project?
Most webcam-directories offer listings of places where webcams are located but are of no great help if you want to watch a place where no webcam is available.
We take a different approach:
We offer a listing of almost every place on earth and point you to webcams at these places (if available) and the nearest webcams available.
This way you are able to find webcams as close as possible to your favorite location if there is no webcam available (yet).
Where did we get the data from?
The webcam data are kindly provided by
Webcam Galore, where continuously new webcams are added and dead links are removed.
The topographical informations are kindly provided by the
GEOnet Names Server, recommending using the following citation:
'Toponymic information is based on the Geographic Names Data Base, containing official standard names approved by the United States Board
on Geographic Names and maintained by the

Based on these data we have created and are permanently updating a distance-matrix to be able to provide you the data mentioned above.
